Can I find Binance APK on 360 mobile assistant?

· ~ 15 min read · CryptoPort Editorial

Short Answer: Only Download From binance.com or app.binance.com

APK is the Android install package format, and the only authoritative source for the official Binance APK is the binance.com and app.binance.com domains. APKs from anywhere else (third-party app stores, cloud drive shares, Telegram groups, WeChat group links from strangers) — even if they install, risk being tampered with. Save these three official entry points before reading on: Binance Official Site Binance Official App iOS Install Guide.

Why is APK so sensitive? Because Android allows sideloading — as long as the signature passes, an app installs. A bad actor can fully build a look-alike App that connects to their own server. This fake App steals passwords, 2FA codes, even mnemonics. Only APKs from official channels carry Binance's official signature.

Where to Download the Official APK

Method 1: Scan the QR Code in the Top-Right of binance.com

Open binance.com in a desktop browser. Top-right has a "Download App" button — click it and a QR code appears. Scanning this QR code with a phone auto-detects the OS: Android redirects to APK download, iOS redirects to App Store. This is the easiest way.

Method 2: Visit app.binance.com Directly

Open app.binance.com in your phone browser. The page auto-displays relevant buttons based on User-Agent. Android users tap "Download APK", and a .apk file starts downloading immediately.

Method 3: Google Play

If your device is outside mainland China and can access Google Play, search "Binance" in Play Store directly. Verify the developer is "Binance" and the icon is a yellow diamond. Note: searching with a US account shows Binance.US — not the Global site.

Method 4: Huawei AppGallery, Xiaomi App Store

Chinese app stores basically don't list the official Binance App. What you occasionally find are third-party repackaged knock-offs or screenshot apps — don't install them.

How to Tell a Real APK From a Fake

Filename Pattern

Official APK filenames look like binance-2.96.1.apk or com.binance.dev.apk — version numbers are three-segment dotted. If the filename is fancy, like "Binance_Official_Latest.apk," "binance_pro.apk," or "binance_Chinese_version.apk," it's likely fake.

File Size

As of April 2026, the official APK is between 170–190MB. A file clearly much smaller (20–50MB) or much larger (300MB+) is suspicious.

Signature Verification

The strictest approach is to verify the APK's signature hash. Download a tool called apksigner (included in the Android SDK) and run:

apksigner verify --print-certs binance.apk

This prints the certificate's SHA-256 fingerprint. The official Binance App signature fingerprint is published in Binance's help center — matching means genuine. This step is for technical users; regular users can skip it.

Permission Requests After Install

On first launch after install, Binance App requests: network, storage, camera (for QR code deposits), notifications. If an App also asks for contacts, SMS, call records, or location, it's 100% fake — uninstall immediately.

APK Install Steps

Step 1: Allow Unknown Sources

Because APK isn't from Google Play, Android blocks by default. When "For your security, your phone doesn't allow installation of unknown apps from this source" appears, tap "Settings" and enable "Allow from this source" for the current browser.

Paths vary slightly by brand:

  • Xiaomi: Settings → Passwords & Security → Privacy → Special Permissions → Install Unknown Apps
  • Huawei: Settings → Security → More Security Settings → External Sources Download
  • OPPO/vivo: Settings → Security → Install Unknown Apps

Step 2: Tap Install

Go to the downloads folder, find the downloaded APK, and tap it. An "Install this app?" confirmation appears — confirm the app name is "Binance" and tap Install.

Step 3: Wait for Install to Finish

A normal phone installs in 30–60 seconds. A yellow diamond Binance icon appears on the home screen.

Step 4: Turn Off Unknown Sources

After installing, immediately turn off the "Allow unknown sources" you just enabled. This is Android security best practice — prevents other apps from sneaking in malware later.

Long-Term Maintenance Advice

Don't Skip Multiple Versions When Upgrading

If you're on last year's APK, overwriting directly with the latest can cause data migration issues. The safer approach: back up the 2FA secret and API keys in the old version, uninstall, then install fresh.

Re-Download a Fresh APK Regularly

Binance APK has no in-App auto-update (unlike Google Play). Re-download the latest APK from app.binance.com every 1–2 months and overwrite-install. Login state is preserved — no need to log in again.

Keep a Backup Copy of the APK

Upload the APK you downloaded to a cloud drive you trust (iCloud, Dropbox) as an emergency backup. If one day the official site isn't accessible, you can still install from your backup. Before backing up, always verify the signature.

Common Questions

Can I Use APKs From Third-Party Download Sites

Not recommended. Third-party APK mirror sites like apkpure and apkmirror — even though they claim to verify signatures — introduce an extra layer of risk. If you can reach the official site, don't go through third parties.

Why Is the Google Play Version Smaller

Google Play uses AAB distribution and delivers a trimmed package for your device, about half the size of the official APK. Features are identical — just missing code for other architectures.

Can I Install an APK a Friend Sent Me

No. Even from a friend, don't install directly. The simplest approach: ask your friend to send you the app.binance.com link, and download it yourself. The APK file alone cannot prove it's official.

Will I Lose Data When Upgrading

No. Binance account data is all stored on the server — the App is just a client. Upgrade, uninstall and reinstall — account assets remain. Only the local cache (K-line history, avatars) gets cleared.

Does Google Play's "This App May Contain Dangerous Code" Warning Matter

Not really. This is Google's generic warning for all financial apps, especially those with P2P and wallet features. As long as you verified the developer is Binance, install with confidence.
