Opened the App and It's All in English
This is a common first experience for Chinese-speaking users opening the Binance App for the first time. Due to the download source, the Binance App may default to an English interface. Buttons, menus, and prompts are all in English, which can be inconvenient for users not comfortable with the language.
The good news is that the Binance App natively supports both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. Just a few taps and you can switch over — after that, nearly the entire interface will be in Chinese.
Switching to Chinese on Android
Step 1: Go to Your Profile
Open the Binance App and tap the profile icon in the upper-left corner, or tap the rightmost "Profile" button in the bottom navigation bar.
Step 2: Find Settings
On the profile page, scroll down to find the settings icon or "Settings" option. Tap to enter.
Step 3: Find the Language Option
In Settings, look for the "Language" option. It's usually near the top. Tap to open the language list.
Step 4: Select Simplified Chinese
Find "Simplified Chinese" in the list and select it. The App will immediately reload, and all interface text will switch to Chinese. If you prefer Traditional Chinese, you can select that instead.
Switching to Chinese on iPhone
The process on iPhone is essentially the same as Android. Open the App, go to your profile, find Settings, and switch the language to Simplified Chinese.
If you can't find the language setting within the App, there's an alternative: in iPhone's "Settings" > "General" > "Language & Region," set the system language to Chinese. Some versions of the Binance App will automatically follow the system language.
What Will and Won't Change to Chinese
Will Change
All menus, buttons, navigation, settings, and system notifications will switch to Chinese. Trading page terms like buy, sell, limit, and market will also be translated. Help Center content and FAQs will switch to the Chinese version.
Won't Change
Cryptocurrency ticker symbols typically stay in English abbreviations like BTC, ETH, and USDT — these are universal standards. Some announcements and news that only have English versions won't auto-translate. Trading pair formats like BTC/USDT also remain unchanged.
Can't Find the Setting?
If you really can't find the language setting in the App, it may be because the App version is too old. Update to the latest version first. Android users can download the latest installation package via Binance official for an over-the-top installation. iPhone users can check for updates in the App Store.
After updating, follow the steps above and you should be able to find the language option.
The Web Version Can Be Set to Chinese Too
If you also use Binance's web version, after logging in at Binance official, there's usually a language switch option in the upper-right corner or footer of the page. Click it and select Simplified Chinese. The web version's language setting is independent from the App — you need to set them separately.
Other Interface Optimization Tips
Currency Display Settings
After switching to Chinese, you can also change the fiat currency display unit in Settings. For example, change the default from USD to CNY so all assets and prices display directly in yuan, making things more intuitive.
Theme Color
The Binance App supports both light and dark themes. If you find the default bright interface too harsh, switch to dark mode. This can also be found in Settings.
Customize Your Homepage
The Binance App homepage supports a degree of customization. You can choose which modules to display and hide function shortcuts you don't need, making the interface cleaner.
Chinese Customer Support
After setting the language to Chinese, the system will automatically match you with Chinese-speaking support agents when you need help. Binance has a sizable Chinese support team, and communication is generally efficient. You can start a live chat in the App's Help Center and describe your issue in Chinese.
A Note on Chinese Translations
While the Chinese translation covers the vast majority of the interface, some financial terminology may not match exactly what you're used to. For instance, "take profit" and "stop loss" may be expressed differently across versions, and "leverage" might sometimes appear as "margin." If a Chinese translation confuses you, temporarily switch back to English to check the original term.
Additionally, some of Binance's promotional pages and marketing content may be translated by different teams, occasionally resulting in awkward phrasing. If you encounter something you genuinely can't understand, contact Chinese support for clarification before proceeding — especially for anything related to funds.
Summary
Switching the Binance App to a Chinese interface takes less than a minute. The path is: Profile > Settings > Language > Simplified Chinese. If you can't find the option, update the App first. Once done, the entire experience becomes much smoother and easier to navigate. Consider also changing the fiat currency to yuan, enabling dark mode, and customizing the homepage layout to make the App fully match your preferences. A well-configured interface can significantly boost your efficiency and confidence — especially in those critical moments when you need to place an order quickly.
